Riga Motion Picture Studio founded in 1948 is one of the oldest motion picture studios in the Northeastern Europe. In 2008 the Studio celebrated its 60th anniversary which marked the end of a long slowdown period and gave a new start to film production and participation in both, Latvian and foreign projects.
